Sooo many reasons and rationales. Our ability to share Love is tied to our own history which may have left us delicately tentative. So, we confine our joys within the safety net of our closed Loves. No oxygen there. No growth. No changes.
Humanity is starving for Love. Healing of humanity needs it. Here we are starving to be recognized as human beings who can share it and receive it. What a conundrum! Carl Jung (according to my little Devotional full of various authors, poet’s and philosopher’s words) observed, "Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power predominates, there love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other."
Perhaps, the key is to figure out how to lift the shadow of power off the light of Love and let it emanate outward to shine on…shine on.
It seems like a simple act, to give of our Love, unconditionally, with no expectations. Yet, this is more difficult, because once we give it, we pass on our power as well. As well, if the trust isn't there, or if it's misused, we are left feeling like a powerless emptied vessel. Too risky don't you think? No. Never. Not with Papa and Son's essence within us.
Are we ready to work with the Holy Spirit within us, to awaken the world to a new way of doing things? We don't have to be world changers. Simply touching one person, whomever Papa places in our lives today, makes all the difference upon this vast planet. Can it be that LOVE filled with compassion, determination, respect and dignity has finally moved beyond the confines? We'll see. We'll see.
What are your thoughts?

Hi Amy:
Yes love is the answer for the world today... as the song goes.
We really don't get it and I know for me even though that constantly seems to ring through my Spirit I don't live love consistently.
I think of something Wayne Jacobsen said in something that I was listening to. (I'm paraphrasing)"Whenever I find myself not responding out of love when I come to recognize I'm not I ask Father what is it about your love I do not understand that I am able to not respond in love in this." Poorly paraphrased sorry Wayne.
Even as I wrote that last paragraph I find myself suddenly just sitting here soaking on that!
For me knowing that life in Christ is all about living loved and living love and actually living it consistently have not caught up with one another.
Sorry I haven't been by and leaving comments nearly as much lately, but I've been caught up with building a new blog project with a self hosted Wordpress and have been struggling with getting it all together.
In Brotherly Love,
Tom Wilson
Tom,
Ah yes. No worries my friend. I too, do not live love consistently either. Such is the result of being human. However, I sincerely believe that you (and I, and others) are living love to God and others with increasing measure.
Papa cares more about the Journey...the transformation...the gradual likeness of Christ we are becoming...than He does with our faults, mistakes, failures, and slips. I think WE (not Him) are the ones who tend to look more at our foibles and sins than we do our progression forward more toward Christ.

Ah...thank you for this paraphrase from Wayne. He and Brad are such wonderful brothers. I listen to their podcasts weekly, and enjoy and look forwards to doing so each week. Both of them have such closely-knit relationships with God, and allow Him to speak through their wonderful conversations each week. What blessings they are to us!
Truly, when I find myself unable or having a hard time loving another person (be it a "chemistry-thing" with a peer, friend, co-worker, something a parent said/did, etc) it certainly is a great reminder (Thanks Tom!) for me to ask what it is about God's love that I am either not understanding or remembering that will enable me to to demonstrate love to those who are, in the moment, "challenging" to show love to.
"For me knowing that life in Christ is all about living loved and living love and actually living it consistently have not caught up with one another."
Amen! Well said!
Tom, no problem about not commenting as much as you'd like. I am excited about this new blog project you are currently working on! Please keep me posted, as it sounds truly neat!
I, too, have not been able to respond to comments as frequently. This past Saturday (July 11th) I moved into my new apartment, from staying at my parent's place for a week and a half. The move went extremely smoothly, as we had 4 families all with Ford F-150 trucks to help us load and move all my stuff!
I baked Peanut Butter cookies and also Macadamia-nut Cranberry cookies and happily gave them to each family as a "Thanks." They all deserved them, as their help was SO appreciated. I ended up unpacking and setting up my new apartment the rest of the whole day Saturday and all day Sunday. I was pooped Sunday night.
Currently I am using my parent's computer at their place, as I stopped in this morning after running some errands.
I contacted a local Internet Service Provider and will have my own access to the Net on my laptop at my place as of this coming Friday July 17th or Saturday the 18th.
Until then, I will try to drop into my parents place (which is literally only 1/2 mile from my new apartment) this week.
In any case, I wish you wonderful blessings on your new blog project!
Blessings,
~Amy :)
I am ready to work with the Holy Spirit within me, my sp1rit cries out USE ME LORD!!!
Mark,
Amen!! Me too!
Blessings,
~Amy :)
